In 1983 a small ship’s store was opened on
Main Street in New Rochelle, New York. That was the year Post Marine
was born. The business quickly acquired a reputation of having knowledgeable
boaters on staff with excellent prices and merchandise readily available
in stock.
Over the next 4 years Post Marine, in spite of
a lot of competition, continued to grow, and serviced the boating
community in the Metro New York area and Long Island. A devastating
fire in 1987 nearly put the company out of business, but thanks
to the relentless upper management and the indefatigable staff the
store relocated to Cedar Street, right off exit 16 of Interstate
95.
 Over
the years Post Marine expanded its business into catalog retail
sales and established a large presence in the Boat Show Circuit
from Newport, RI to Miami, FL. Our reputation for fair prices and
good service has established a customer base of thousands of loyal
customers over the years. Now, as one of the largest remaining independent
marine suppliers left in the country, we have to thank you, the
customer, for allowing us to serve you and continue to do business
in an ever changing and demanding environment.
In 1997 Post Marine was able to expand into our
ultra modern, 30,000 Sq. ft. current facility at 65 River Street
in New Rochelle, NY. This facility not only has a large retail area,
but is one of the best stocked marine suppliers in the world, with
merchandise readily available for world-wide immediate shipping.
We carry everything from anchors to zincs. If it’s
electronics or inflatable boats, engine parts or just your everyday
maintenance product, we stock brand names at discount prices. Now,
